GARLIC
Garlic powder is derived from dried and ground garlic (Allium sativum), retaining most of the therapeutic properties of fresh garlic. In Ayurveda, garlic is known as Lashuna or Rasona and is valued for its ability to balance Vata and Kapha doshas while potentially aggravating Pitta in excess. Garlic powder offers the same health benefits as fresh garlic but in a more concentrated and convenient form. It contains bioactive compounds, particularly allicin, which give garlic its medicinal qualities.Curcumin is renowned for its strong anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce inflammation in the body. It is particularly effective in treating chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis, joint pain, and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. In Ayurveda, it is used to pacify excess Kapha (which causes stagnation and inflammation).
Like fresh garlic, garlic powder has strong antimicrobial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, making it a powerful immune booster. Regular use of garlic powder can help the body fight infections and prevent illnesses such as colds, flu, and respiratory infections.
Garlic powder helps stimulate Agni (digestive fire) and enhances digestion. It is especially effective in relieving indigestion, gas, and bloating, conditions often caused by Vata and Kapha imbalances. The heating quality of garlic powder helps clear Ama (toxins) from the digestive system, promoting better digestion.
Garlic powder retains its antimicrobial properties and is effective in combating bacterial, fungal, and viral infections. It can be used to treat various infections, including respiratory conditions like bronchitis and skin infections.
